Tailor made recruitment process to improve staff retention rate

How we assisted in escalating the staff retention rate of a global IT firm.

Our client a leading global IT service organization thrived on recruiting graduates and developing them as IT consultants and professionals internally.  However the last 3 years records suggested that among the retention in second year, only 60% of the graduate cohort remained with the firm.

While this level of retention  could have been taken as an industry norm, a casual benchmarking by the MD suggested that the retention among the graduate entry cohort was particularly lower, while the induction process, C&B, growth opportunities, timing of campus visit, employer branding were more or less similar to other competitors. Further at other levels in the organization the retention was similar to competition if not better.

Comaea Consulting was asked to advice. We audited the entire recruitment process and designed an assessment center that could assess up to 25 participant in 4 hours with a specific target of higher retention.
