Our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturer of technologically advanced capital equipment. Historically, the performance management system of the company had gradually drifted out of sync with its immediate objectives. A couple of years ago, the organisation had shifted hands from the owner-manager to being a part of a larger organisational set-up. Since then, there had been many changes in the manufacturing and the operational processes of the company. The new MD wanted to redefine the roles and relationships and design the performance management system linked to the current roles within the organisation.
One option was to continue like before as there were no stringent needs to align job descriptions with the performance management system. The cheapest option was to create a generic performance management system and implement it on a paper-based system. The most comprehensive option however, was to create an organisation wide JD manual and implement it on an IT platform.
Comaea Consulting helped in analysing all jobs of the organisation, wrote out the complete job description manual, and helped in implementing the performance management system on a cloud based HR platform. This exercise helped in restructuring the organisational design for optimal individual and corporate performance.
